Technology – PDR (Paintless Dent Repair) – removal of dents in car bodies without the need for subsequent painting. This technology has been used for decades in automobile factories to repair damage caused on production lines. Now it is also a method available to the individual customer. It works particularly well for removing marks left on the body by, for example, hailstorms. Impacts of several-centimeter-thick lumps of ice can leave dents on the surface of the body, which not only disfigure the car, but also reduce its value. The process of restoring the original shape is carried out using specialized tools, thanks to which the deformation is eliminated. The dent is gradually and precisely pushed out from the inside of the damage, with specialized tools inserted into available slots or technological holes, so that the original paint coating is not affected. By repairing the damaged part with traditional methods, there is a risk that it will have a different shade after painting. Using PDR technology, you can be sure that the original color will be preserved, and the sheet metal will not be loaded with putty.
